larry's bow ties

more chevys and their stories.

1970 c10 5.7 auto ps. pb. ac. bare bones work horse. hooked to project corvette. first new truck. towing pkg. note the corvette hub caps. the trailer was borrowed.

this was after a lot of time and $$$. it's a 427 435hp. ir block code, 4spd. this orig. color.

this was last official use of my first new truck. a week after this was taken my new 78 silverado was delivered. the 78 was loaded, i'll never buy another vehicle without every option they can put on it.

78 indy pace car. our corvette club bought it from a dealer in ky. and raffled it. the proceeds went to spina bifida (a birth defect). we had it in several malls in the area selling tickets.

firethorn metalic conv. upper was one I bought as salvage and rebuilt.

I did put a big block hood on it. found the hard op at a swap meet. she did'nt like the hooker side mount (leg burners) but that did not stop her from driving it.

this was the day of the raffle. my home made trailer did not go with the car.

51 car nuts gave this a thumbs-up. Do you? Thumbs-up

Looks like a nice 1978 Anniversay C3. Great color scheme with the black and silver. Oakland Raider fans love that car for it's heritage to the football team whether or not it was meant to be or not. The big fat Goodyear Eagle GT radials on those rims really made it pop. Big spoilers in a time when performance was down but spoilage was up. Nice collection.

You are so so right.....I forgot that, of course at my age that is nothing new. I usually always see the ones without the decals on the side. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
