Loved this car... graduated college in 1961 and during that summer, drove a black 1960-61 Chrys Newport convertible, looking just like this, white vinyl top, red and white interior from the hyde of the mysterious "nauga"... alas, did NOT buy it... went to Austin Healeys... but, fond memories... thanks.

In 1961 had a 300g. Mardi Gra Red. A $56.00 option was black leather. Took it. Bought from Navone Auto sales on 6th ave in Nyc. He was a Chrysler dealer. In Houston that summer pulled up to a light and a guy in hardtop [mine a conv.] and yelled"where did you get that car."I just said "The same dealership that sells Chryslers in NYC. The light changed as he said I'm going to kill that dealer as he never told me there was an option for the interior color" He was so pissed that I couln't stop laughing. True story. Car was a dream.
