I always have to give a thumbs up to Comets.......my first car was a 1965 Comet Caliente. You have some nice rubber stuffed under those wheelwells. I used longer spring shackles to lift the rear for me to stuff rubber under the car. Very nice ride......and always good to see a Comet in pics.

Thank you! Almost drive it daily. I too have always liked the style of these Comets, Tires are 14 inch 235/60/14. Car is lowered 2 inches all around and uses 66 mustang leafs with extended shackles. Corners like shes on rails and smooth too.

Thanks for sharing the handling secrets. Your 404 sits just right. The lowering really enhances the look of the car. You don't see many Comets at car shows. My 65 Comet Caliente was a chick magnet. Dark blue convertible, with white interior and white top. 289 with a 4 speed. Oh and don't forget the under the dash 8 track tape player. That was the cherry on top of the sundae. Your car brought back some really fun memories for me. Thanks for posting.

Thanks! Yeah, he kinda hangs around while I'm workin' on her. He's a little strange but I think we'll keep him. Going to make another video but after I put in the new camshaft. Comp cams XE256 series. A little bump ala bump, wide torque band 1200-5200. Stay tuned.
