Landy Scott was a fan favorite throughout the Midwest, driving his famous #17 midget racer, powered by an unconventional Studebaker engine, on a shoestring budget to victories on oval dirt tracks everywhere. Landy won the Badger Midget Auto Racing Association's 1947 Championship and served as the president of Badger for 9 years.
Landy's #17 is now back with the Scott family and continues to be shown at car shows and special events to help preserve the history of the Mighty Midget's impact on auto racing and to honor the accomplishments of its fearless driver who they proudly call Dad.
Effective November 1, 2014, the #17 will be on display at the Studebaker National Museum in South Bend, Indiana. Visit this world class automotive museum and see Landy's midget close up.
