The 1960's Ford Station Wagons like it's main competition Chevrolet, got longer, wider and lower as the decade flew by. Headlights were horizontal or vertical. Tail lights were round or square.
The styling from year to year did not change much, it was a bland decade for designers. The great designers of the past were now retired or gone and the newer generation never had the talent, sorry to say.
The "Chariots" got heavier and larger because gas was cheap but all that will change going into the 1970's.[Reply to this comment]

My high school buddies and I used to go crow hunting and our one friend's dad had a 1962 like the one in the photo. We would get out of school and go looking for the crows flyways and follow them to where they roosted and then, well...it rained crows down on top of us along with a lot of bird poop.
We filled the back of the station wagon's floor with our quarry and took it to the President of the Gun Club at our school and put them in his yard after dark mind you in a nice assembled group.
Phone calls were made the next day to our homes to come pick up the dead crows and donate them to the local zoo for food.
I thought eating crow was different but what did I know? Then and now!![Reply to this comment]
