FINALLY!!! We had our first Car Show in almost 2 years in my home town of Oyster Bay, NY.
It was great admiring the old and new cars again and seeing the Gearheads out and about.
It was a blast with a Rock Band and Cars, Cars, Cars!
Thank you Town of Oyster Bay for finally holding our very own Cruise Night. Mario[Reply to this comment]

Yes George I was lucky to hear and go to the first car show in almost 2 years! And in my home town too!
Everyone was so happy to be out looking at cars again. What a great treat, I had to share with you guys.
The 54 Vette is nice and rare, needs work but it's all there. It must have been a real eye opener back in it's day.
The new 2021 Corvette mid engine I saw at the show is incredible! I think it's as good looking as the Ferrari's that I saw there for 1/3 the price!
Hopefully you'll have car shows open up in Southern Ontario soon. Post some pictures if you have the chance to go to one. Cheers![Reply to this comment]

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh so this is what a car show is!!
Wow I haven't seen one of these in eons......
Looks like an awesome attendance.
That 61 Chrysler caught my eye with those fins..
Glad you had nice weather too.
I recall a time when I could attend 2 to 3 car shows in a weekend.......really....no lie...
Our one car show a year here in my town has been cancelled until further notice.........
No fireworks, no parades, no festivals, no concerts all add up to NO FUN.........
FUN IS NOT ALLOWED HERE.....if you are happy and you know it, don't clap your hands, wear a mask.
NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO SMILE......unless masked.
Frown are always wecome.[Reply to this comment]

Yes the 61 Chrysler 300 fins caught my eye too so I took the shot. Great condition on that car.
The 32 Ford flathead was definitely olive green and another eye popper. My Father-In-Law John had one when young and it reminded me of him. I have a great picture of him in his 32 Ford. He is long passed but never forgotten.
So sorry to hear about your lack of car shows and the one you have per year getting cancelled. It doesn't make any sense to me. It's outdoors and even the CDC admits very few cases were contracted outside. I believe they said over 95% were contracted indoors less than 5% outdoors!
We're having a Cruise Night car show in Oyster Bay every Tuesday night thru Labor Day and I hear many more are popping up in other towns on Long Island this month. Some are in large strip mall parking lots and some close down their Main St with food and live music. There's even a church out East in Patchogue LI that holds a car show each week in their parking lot.
The 2021 Vettes are awesome and my brother John is close to getting one. Hard to get over here and they sell for much more than list. There were several Ferrari's at the show but only 1 new 2021 Vette.
I'll continue to post more car show pictures this summer so you can feel like you're at them. Cheers![Reply to this comment]

At this point it does not look like there will be any (stationary) car shows in my area of southern Ontario. If the border opens between Canada and the U.S., I will take in some shows in the good old U.S. of A. Keeping all my fingers crossed because this is hurting. Cheers.[Reply to this comment]

Don't worry George things will open up soon all over and you'll have car shows in your area.
In the meantime great idea going to wherever there is a car show for your own enjoyment. Good for you and I hope you get to see one soon.
Your 57 Pontiac is a rare one and quite a beauty. Take pics and post them for us. Cheers, Mario[Reply to this comment]
