In 1987 my dad asked me to help him find a smaller car that was fair on gas. My dad had stopped driving our family's 74 Chev Caprice Estate wagon and the car was being stored. We found this very solid 1980 Camaro with 267 V-8 two barrel. The car was mint but required some upper engine work. I pulled the cylinder heads and had them redone. While at it I resealed and painted the engine and restored the engine bay area. The car was very reliable and delivered good gas mileage. Sadly my dad died July 16, 1993 and my younger brother Mike got the Camaro while I got the 74 Chev wagon. My brother Mike repainted the car white and added Cragar wheels all around. The car was sadly written off in an accident because of some stupid idiots lack of driving skills. This car really brought my dad and I closer and I will forever be thankful for that. Cheers.

What a beauty all done George! You had a great life experience with your Dad on that car and have the pictures that tell the story. Nothing like a good car project to bring family together. Cheers, Mario
