Rockton, Ontario, Canada Car Show and Swap Meet..

Saturday May 25,2024.

I took in the annual Rockton, Ontario, Canada car show and swap meet at their fairgrounds. It was a rain filled day and I did not take either one of my oldies. Instead I rode with my brother Mike and his 62 Falcon. The event was no where as large as the usual turn out of cars and vendors but the rain was a major factor. Mike and I tried to make the most of it. I took photos but many cars had already left so the pickings were slim. So far every event has been a washout since late April and I have now missed four events. Cheers.

Not one but two ultra rare 1963 Oldsmobile F-85's with factory turbo chargers and four speed sticks. Husband and wife owned.

Rare complete factory turbo unit.

1962 Ford Falcon. My brother Mikes.

1967 Corvette.

1970 Chev Nova.

?

1969 Chev Z/28.

1969 Chev PU.

1969 Ford Fairlane.

1966 Chev PU.

1946-1948 Ford.

1951 Chev.

Ford rod. Why this guy drove this roadster in that kind of rain is anyone's mystery.

1964 Chev Chevelle El Camino.

Late forties Ford.

1965 Chev Chevelle.

1959 Chev El Camino.

1963 Pontiac Tempest.

1963 Pontiac Tempest.

1958 Chev Yeoman.

1958 Chev.

Forties Oldsmobile.

1970 Buick Skylark.

1963 Oldsmobile F-85 factory turbo and four speed. Both cars are equipped this way.

Hey Geo, I also attended a car show this morning in Willcox AZ, famous home of Rex Allen, a country western singer of years gone by.

The turnout wasn't quite what I had hoped even with nice weather but rather windy.

I'm impressed with your show with the beginning pics of the two OLds with Turbos....and to be owned by husband and wife. Very nice. And to be FOUR SPEEDS as well!!!!!!!! WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!

I can't say I saw anything rare at my show. I didn't stay long before I headed to Tombstone AZ where I found ALL THE PEOPLE there for the Wyatt Earp Days. Sadly, no car show.

Our day car shows are becoming rare due to the rising temps. So you take what you can get.

Cheers back to you. Rob

Rob, that is interesting. I am getting too much rain and you are getting too much sun. For me it is very disheartening so far because the time we have for these events is so short and before you know it... it is all over. Lets hope things cool down for you and things dry up for me. Cheers.

Congratulations on your first car show for 2024 George! I like the 1969 Camaro Z/28 it's really sharp!! And the color Blue makes it very striking with the white racing stripes.

Too bad you had all that rain but a lot of nice looking cars showed up anyway. I never took my 67 Impala out in the rain it just stayed in the garage which is why it always looked so good.

I don't blame you for not taking your 2 classic cars to the show in the rain. Your brother's 62 Falcon looks good even in the rain.

I'll be going to my first car show here in Oyster Bay on Tuesday May 28th and it should be a good turnout as long as the weather holds up.

Thanks for weathering the storm and posting all these pictures George! They came out great. Cheers, Mario
