Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Car Show.

Saturday July, 20, 2024.

I took in the annual Waterloo car show with my brother Mike. This annual event is held by the Galaxie club of Ontario and that explains why there are so many nice looking Fords here. Beautiful day filled with beautiful vintage tin. Enjoy the rides. Cheers.

Hey Geo......nice collection!

I am going of the path of norm, and making my selection this week based on what I saw and loved as a paperboy on my route which it was always uphill and always snowing. Okay that's a lie. But I was a paper boy, now I'm not sure what the proper pronoun is in this world if idiots. No offense mind you.

My next door neighbor Bill Snyder was a bit older than me and his dad was a die hard Ford fan so Bill new all the nomenclature of the Ford family. Him and I used to build models in his basement getting looped on the glue which we were told will never cause dane bramage. Bill and I are living proof.

Bill schooled me on all the big fords from 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, and 1967. On my paper route, you were probably thinking I forgot, I saw all of these Ford models and especially the XL500.

SUHWEET.

Bill went off to the service and I moved away from his family began cutting my teeth on the neighborhoods gaggle of cars including Corvettes and Chevelles and Pontiacs and so forth.

So in honor of Bill Snyder, who taught me a lot about Fords, and making model airplanes, all the "F" series of aircraft and how to throw a wicked wiffle ball curve......Bill I choose all the big Fords here gathered by George.

His family even had a Ford Squire Station Wagon.

So there's my pick. I never saw Bill again. Sad how that goes in life but what we shared was a lot of great times, great cars and great glue sniffing. Actually we were both good kids and walked a straight line in the respect of our elders.

Yes look it up in your history books if you've never heard of it. It's in the BIBLE.

Have a great day...and no sniffing glue ya'll.

Rob

OK well since our friend Rob took all the big 60's Fords here are my picks.

BTW I used to build those model car kits also with my cousin Frank who recently lost his wife of 50+ years Judy to cancer. God Bless her soul. We had to sniff the Testor's glue as well as we built those models.

My picks are the 56 Chevy Conv love the two tone, 56 Ford Crown Vic with coni kit best year in my opinion, 56 Mercury conv again best year, 59 Ford Galaxie 500 a rare car, 62 Chevy Impala one of my favorites, and the 68 and 70 Chevelles SS.

I know I'm being greedy, but those are my favorites. Lots of nice cars George at your Waterloo Car Show. I love the song too!

Cheers to my Canadian AT friend, Mario

That song played everyday when I was working on the farm at my aunt and uncles during summer break. They had the country music playing and at lunch we always had to listen to "TRADIO"........ where people would call in and offer things for sale or trade in the community. Get it? TRADE RADIO.........= TRADIO.
