Mario's Sayville Car Show July 2025

1937 Ford Restomod

I went to the Sayville NY Car Show Sunday July 20, 2025, co-sponsored by the Sayville Ford Dealership. The car show was held on Main St in the quaint small town of Sayville on the beautiful South Shore of Long Island. Main St was closed down to traffic and the turnout was tremendous.

Many classic and antique cars showed up along with various food and street vendors. A Carnival was held, and a band was playing rock n roll music. It was a mile long block party on Main St in lovely Sayville. The weather was just right for a change with low humidity, and everyone had a great time.

Here are some of the highlights of the Sayville Summerfest Car Show 2025. Enjoy, Mario.

The Sayville Car Show and Summerfest was outstanding, and we had a pleasant day weatherwise for a change on the South Shore of Long Island. Low humidity and mild temps.

A great turnout for the 3-day Carnival with a fabulous car show on day 3. I look forward to this car show every year. Enjoy, Mario

Hey hey hey........it's must be time for the Mario Car Show. Sit down kiddies and enjoy a trip through automobile time. If you're not careful, you may just find one you like. Or more.

My pic has been chosen for the 1967 Shelby Mustang Cobra. I don't get to see many of those and it's always a treat to see one being driven at least.

Now you mentioned that this car show wasn't your normal source. Well what is the old saying??? I don't care where you get it from, JUST GET IT!!

Well done brother, well done. I did like in the beginning of the thread a lot of black and brown colors and then Color Palooza ..with the oranges and reds and on and on.

Once again thanks for supplying this car junkie with a source of uplifting photos. Glad God gave you low humidity and low temps.

Well done Mario.

Thank you for your comments Rob and yes the Ford Cobra is a great looking car although a little small to get in and out of.

The blue paint on the car is electrifying but the chromed out 347 V8 with dual quads makes this Cobra number 1. A real winner in my book.

I chose the custom 37 Ford Restomod 489 as my cover because I've known this car for 18 years. He's always at the Sayville car shows since I've been going there since 2007 and he's finally selling his prize car. Looks like he's following the pattern of us Baby Boomers in selling their cars. Hopefully the next generations after us picks up where we left off.

Mario I meant the Shelby Mustang Cobra, not that little monster...hahahaha......

Yes I see more and more street rods etc coming to market at sometimes shocking numbers, both ways mind you.

I purchased that 51 F1 Ford Pickup to get into that market but sadly I made a poor choice. A neighbor down the street has the same truck and he keeps advertising it for $45k

I hope he gets it but the youth doesn't seem too interested in that genre of vehicles. I sold my F1 to a dealer but I didn't lose money on it.

So I keep watching the cars coming to market and if you're not quick on the mouse, they go quick.

And trying to buy a vehicle at a car show where the traffic is high, the sellers always seem to ignore your offers thinking maybe they can get their price.

That Orange Dreamsicle For Sale does look tasty, pun intended.

I also liked the pics of the town and crowd....reminds me of my youth where the carnival came to you, you didn't need to drive to an amusement park.

Cheers

OK Rob, I thought you meant the small Cobra car. The GT500 Shelby Cobra 428ci 355hp was also an awesome car and one that I could get in and out of with no problem!

The 37 Ford Orange Dreamsicle is nice but a hefty price at $38.5K. The ownwers always think their cars are worth much more than anyone is willing to pay.

As far as the Town of Sayville and their annual Summerfest I actually bought my 67 Impala at the 2009 Sayville Car Show. I saw the car for sale and bartered the price down and bought it on the spot. It was a great deal and kept the car for a decade until I had to downsize and move.

As George would say, Cheers! Mario

Great coverage of a sweet car show, Mario! I like how you ordered the cars by year.

My pic is the 67 Mustang GT500 Shelby Cobra with the 428. I bet it's not easy to change the spark plugs on that beast!

Thank you Brandon for your comments. The GT500 is a great pick for sure. Not many around today.

The once a year Sayville Car Show has always been a blast. It's a 3 day Carnival and hundreds of people always show up. I bought my 67 Impala at the 2009 Sayville car show. Cheers, Mario
