Oyster Bay Car Show August 25, 2026 Pt 2

1970 Olds 442

Another sell out crowd at the Oyster Bay Cruise night car show held on August 25th which was my Dad’s Birthday. He would have been 102 years old but sadly passed away in 2009 at 85. A great tribute to my Dad who taught me to love cars and learn all about them.

I had to make this car show in 2 parts because of the sellout number of cars. This is part 2 of 2 parts. I went with my wife and two brothers and their wives to the car show to celebrate our dad’s birthday. We all had a wonderful time, and I know my Dad was with us enjoying the show.

My cover car is the 1970 Olds 442. A 2nd Generation Olds 442 and 1970 was considered the pinnacle of performance from Oldsmobile. Olds 455 CI V8 was the standard 442 engine, output was 365 hp. It was awarded the Pace car for the Indy 500 race in 1970. This is a showroom example of the iconic car.
