This is what my 1999 Jeep Wrangler Sport looked like when I bought it in 2002. The PO actually had the audacity of slapping a set of P205's on it! First step was to ditch the 205s and put AT LEAST 31" tires on it.
Within 3 months of ownership, the 4" suspension lift was added. Also ditched the stock exhaust for 2 1/2" pipe on a Banks TorqueTube Header. Stock intake was disposed of properly for an AFE Brute intake.
Next were the American Racing 767 rims and 32" BFG Mud Terrains...got 'em in exchange for a weekends worth of deck building.
Of course, it all needed testing at Paragon AP in Hazleton, PA. Seems to be working fine so far.
The original 4.0 litre six is waiting to be replaced with a Golen 4.6 Litre stroker motor...putting out somewhere around 285 HP and 315 Ft. Lbs. The Golen motor will also benefit from a Hypertech Power Programmer to re-map the fuel delivery and boost bottom end torque. Hypertech claims an added 25 HP and 40 Ft. Lbs., but that remains to be seen. Both are in my garage awaiting installation. Good numbers for a straight six. The AR767's and 32" BFG Muds were swapped out for a set of Mickey Thompson Classic II's and 33" Baja Claws. All due respect to the boys that drove the predecessors of this Jeep while defending our country and freedom.
