FlyingWedgeRacing's profile

Here's a few pics of my original Flying Wedge car...oddly enough, in the end the max-wedge gave way to an injected Hemi. Go figure! I continue to use the name "Flying Wedge Racing" today, even though I've been racing Porsches for the last 25 years. The Porsche guys think that the name has something to do with the shape of a Porsche...go figure again!

Here's a shot of me at "work" in my Sox & Martin Pro-Stock car...I also ran it in Gas and Altered classes. Sold that car in the late seventies...a rather shrewd move considering it's now worth a $million.

Here's a few of my "street" car...it's a '92 Honda Si that I purchased new. When I retired from teaching, I promised it that I would give it a complete make-over. Nothing has been left untouched...now it's a JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) Type-R racer. I use it every day (no winters). It runs 12 sec. quarters, gets 30 mpg (on 93 pump) @ 4000 rpm, and ...has over 320,000 miles on the clock. I'll never sell it. It's my "best friend".

Finally, here's some of my current Porsche "racer", having some fun.
