My favorite 1940's Ford, like a lot of folks I suppose. The design was flawless for the time and it reflects on the popularity of the car all these many years. Cheers.

Thanks. I'm always amazed how many people who are not active car lovers comment on how timeless the styling of the '39-'40 Ford coupe is. I fell in love with these coupes when I was 14 and it took me 50 years to make my dream a reality.

Awesome pics Duncan! I always loved the 40 Ford's teardrop headlights and "Sgt" tail lights. I being a former Sgt in the Marines! You put a lot of custom work into the interior, and love the buckets. Great color scheme in and out. What engine did you drop in, bet you have a good 1/4 mile run too. Thanks for all the pics, Mario

That looks like a blue 67 Chevy Impala next to your car in one of the pics, right? I have a white one. Mario

Nice car, Mario. The blue one in the picture belonged to a touring friend of mine. He sold it a few years ago and now drives a '62 Catalina.

I worked with a gentleman (or is it person now) and he has this very model. The more I saw it the more I fell in love with it. The rear roofline and overall dimensions realy work on this model. He took a lot of awards home for that class.

When all things work together, it just looks right.

I just looked into buying my own hot rod project but realization of my mechanical skills has said,

Robert be an admirer, not a buyer.

My wife's cousin Bobby when I first met him had a black 40 Ford convertible that was pristine. He had an updated Ford V8 not sure the engine type. But it was clean and a show stopper. I see a lot at car shows and they always gather a crowd. Cheers, Mario

The car hjas a 1988 L98 Corvette 350, not a high horsepower engine, with GM tuned port injection. Has a 200R4 transmission from a Grand National. The car is not a high horsepower car, built for touring rather than racing. It has Air Ride rear suspension. What I like about it (I bought it built.) is the fact that it hasn't been butchered. No chop, no radical body mods. The obvious ones are the louvered and nosed hood, and the 1-piece windshield. I have owned it for 16 years or so now.

Yes it's a mild custom not butchered and updated so you can tour at will. Engine looks divine as well as the interior. Great show car! Cheers, Mario

Hey Duncan, try out the new game Brandon and I worked on called Name the cars with the Hidden Gas Caps. If you ever pumped gas at a station and are our age you should do well. The game went live today. Regards, Mario
