Paris, Ontario, Canada automotive swap meet.

Sunday November 17, 2024.

I took in the Paris vintage/hotrod swap meet held at the Paris fairgrounds. Only automotive related items were allowed and thank you for that. There was two sections of a building with a number of venders and it was nice and warm inside. This event is held by the Speed Syndicate car club and they did a fine job. There was no car show or cars for sale but a few folks braved the cloomy weather and brought their rides. Talking to some of the older old car guys was fun and interesting. To be fair this hobby good, bad or indifferent is mostly made up of us older folks and you very seldom see folks younger than the boomers. I took my time checking out all the venders but found nothing I required. Check out a very small sample of some of the items for sale at the event. Cheers.

Chevy tri power setup.

Rat Fink poster.

Early Ford rims widened.

Late 60's kids bike. I remember these well.

Chevy dual quad setup.

Banana seats. Bring back many memories.

Not cheap.

Chevy quadrajet intake and Chevy bull horn exhausts.

Plenty of vintage car mags at this event.

I use to have hundreds of these but sold them all.

These will always bring a smile to most old car guys.

More Chevy hipo stuff.

I got a laugh out of this.

Many hardware venders here.

I spoke to Mr. Moffat and what a wealth of carb knowledge.

Rare hipo intake for 216 235 and 261 Chevy in line six vintage Chevys.

Tire ash trays.

Many shop manuals to be had.

Many dealer brochures to be had.

More toys to warm your heart.

Many tin signs to be had.

348/409 Chev. (1958-1965)

Lots of hipo goodies to be had.

We all know what these belong to.

1963 Cadillac. One of a few oldies that braved the cloomy weather.

What an amazing display of auto memorabilia, magazines, car brochures, toys and auto parts George!

I could literally spend all day there rummaging through all the cool items. Brings back so many memories on different levels.

Thank you for sharing all the pictures and I would take all the toy cars and trucks for my grandson. Cheers, Mario

Good morning to my friend George.

Hey nice Swap Meet!!! Boy would I just love to have the pockets to immerse myself in just the purchase of the old signage tin and fix up a garage Jay Leno would envy. Of course, I'd have no cars in it due to being broke.

Oh the toys, and the Stingray bike with the handlebars backwards, must have been owned by a California kid. The hours spent on the floor playing with a metal garage, and car after car visiting to get serviced.

Then it was off to the basement for slot car racing with my friend Charlie. I had a Chevy Chaparell, he had a Ford Cobra. My head never got dizzy following my car around the track. Now I get dizzy standing up.

Then there's the literature. Too bad, school books weren't as interesting as car magazines. I hid my magazine inside the text book, thinking no one knew. But, my low grades ratted me out.

Model building, putting a racing slick tire on my Stingray, even playing the board game called "LIFE" came with cars you moved around and picked up a wife and kids.

Lots to see, lots to share, lots to enjoy, lots to remember.

Well done George........well done.
