Oyster Bay Car Show September 2, 2025

1989 Lamborghini Countach

Our weekly Oyster Bay Cruise Night Car Show was held Tuesday September 2, 2025 and we had very nice weather with low humidity as we get closer to Fall.

There was a hot band playing our oldies all night and again we had a lot of food, vendors and classic cars.

Many Exotic cars came out for us to see and drool over, such as Mercedes 450SL, Lamborghini Countach, Aston Martin DB12, Mercedes Safari 4x4, Porsche, BMW and many Hot Rods and Antiques.

Let’s hope the weather stays fall-like for the rest of the car season.

Enjoy the show! Mario.

1 1928 Ford Model A. A Museum class Ford Model A convertible in original condition.

2 1936 Ford Hot Rod Convertible. Check out the authentic Greyhound dog hood ornament on this Ford.

3 1932 Ford Hot Rod Convertible. Great paint job on this 32 Ford.

4 1932 Ford Hot Rod Convertible. I believe the 32 Ford is the best car for a traditional Hot Rod. This one is a Beauty!

5 1937 Ford Pickup Truck. A rare 37 Ford pickup truck modernized and looking good.

6 1940 Ford Hot Rod. One of my all time favorite classic cars, the 40 Ford with its unique Teardrop Headlights.

7 1954 Mercury. I remember my neighbor back in 1954 had a new Mercury when I lived in Floral Park, Queens, NYC.

8 1955 Chevy Gasser. I love this Gasser with the upfront gas tank for drag racing.

9 1956 Olds Needs TLC. OK this Olds needs a LOT of TLC. It's in good shape but desperately needs a new paint job.

10 1956 Olds Needs TLC. As a 4 door hardtop it would pay to finish this car and make it a true Classic.

11 1957 Ford 2 door sedan A real sleeper with Tri-Power.

12 1957 Ford 2 door sedan. I remember my neighbor in Jamaica, Queens, NYC back in 1957 had a new 57 Ford 2 door sedan like this in 2 tone green. I was just 10 years old and admired the car when she drove it down our block.

13 1959 Cadillac Convertible. The car with 4 foot high Fins and a true classic. Amazing to see in person how long this 59 Caddy is. It had a length of 225 inches or 18.75 feet and a std 390 CI V8 with 345 HP.

14 1960 Buick Convertible and 1940 Willys Hot Rod. I Love the 60 Buick in Baby Blue paint. Not often seen at car shows and this one is a real looker. The 40 Willys with the Teardrop Headlights was actually standard copying Ford's headlights. But who really copied who?

15 1963 Dodge Dart Custom. Rare to see a station wagon in a car show but this one is classy with an unusual paint job.

16 1963 Dodge Dart Custom. Great condition for this 63 Dodge wagon.

17 1965 Corvair Monza 4 Dr HT. A great looking 65 Corvair and a rare 4 door HT in showroom condition.

18 1965 Mustang Convertible. An all time classic car the 65 Mustang. First displayed at the NY Worlds Fair in 1964. I was fortunate to attend the Worlds Fair and see the new Mustang.

19 1965 Shelby Cobra

20 1967 Camaro 350 RS/SS. The very First Camaro and only one with the vent windows.

21 1967 Corvette Cruisin’

22 1967 Mustang Coupe

23 1968 Buick Riviera

24 1969 Camaro SS350 just like the one I owned. Mine was Silver with a black stripe.

25 1969 Olds Cutlass and 1971 Chevelle SS

26 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 383

27 1970 Plymouth Road Runner 383ci. My cousin Frank owned this car in blue.

28 1970's MG

29 1971 Buick GS

30 1971 Olds 442 W30. This one's for you Rob!

31 1979 Mercedes 450SL.

32 1985 Buick Riviera Convertible

33 1989 Lamborghini Countach. I made this car my Cover for this Page because it's so unusual and a really true race car. Rarely seen in the States and unbelievably low to the ground.

34 1991 Acura NSX

35 2002 Hummer. The Civilian version of the Military Humvee.

36 2024 Aston Martin DB12. James Bond loved the Aston Martin as do I.

37 2025 Audi R8 Convertible

38 Mercedes Safari 4x4

39 OB Cruise Cadillac Cruisin’

40 OB Cruise Old and New Corvettes

41 OB Cruise Porsche and BMW

42 OB Cruise Row of Muscle cars

43 OB Cruise

44 OB Cruise at Dusk. Another great Car Show in Oyster Bay.

Another classic car show in my town of Oyster Bay on Long Island's Gold Coast. What a great night we had with beautiful fall like weather.

So many Exotic cars came out and I had to make the Lamborghini Countach my cover car for this car show. What a machine this is to see in person.

Enjoy the show, Mario.

Wow..there's my 442!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh wait, right car wrong show.

Great shots Mario. I understand you bowing down to the Lamborghini. I for one, forgive you.

Your best pic is that long low 59 Cadillac convertible. Wow..I know that was not Elvis driving it but it looked a bit like Colonel Sanders...

I drove a 69 SS Camaro. It was silver with black stripes. It was a girl's I was dating. She was a hair stylist and one night she put stuff in my hair to make me look old...yes lots of gray. Well evidently it didn't wash out because that gray is here again.

When my grandmother saw me with the gray hair she acted like she saw a ghost. She forbade me to never see that girl again. But it's too late to lock the barn door. The horse has already escaped. I mean come on...a 69 Camaro SS?????? I could give up the girl, but the SS, no way Grannie.

Well done my good and faithful servant Mario on yet another stunning display of Amercian Iron with a twist of Italian, and German and French and....

Thank you Rob for your colorful stories and insights. My 69 Camaro SS350 was Silver with Black Hockey Puck Stripes. Your girl friend had good taste.

And yes the 59 Caddy convertible is one long classic car. 18 3/4 feet long without a Continental wheel.

The Olds 442 showed up again so I took the picture just for you. A rare W30 Olds and in showroom condition. Cheers, Mario.

I believe that Corvair is painted in that rare color PLUM MIST. I may be mistaken, but I'm never wrong. there's 65 Impala out here the owner is trying to sell. Thats a color you truly love, or love to hate.

Heres a quick link in case you have 25K in your lap.

Yes the Corvair is painted in the original Plum Mist color and a really nice and rare 4 door HT.

I looked at the 65 Impala SS and it looks good but 25K for a car that needs a new paint job is a little high. It has the 283 V8 but an automatic transmission.
