Oyster Bay Car Show September 20, 2025

1931 Ford Hot Rod.

Our special Oyster Bay Cruise Car Show was held Saturday September 20, 2025 and we had a very nice day with great Fall weather. Main Street was shut down for the car show and all the shops were open.

There was another hot band playing our oldies all day into the evening and again we had a lot of food, vendors and classic cars.

Many Exotic Cars, Hot Rods and Classic cars came out for us to see and drool over, such as 30’s Fords and Willys, as well as 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s cars of popular brands.

Enjoy the show! Mario.

1 1931 Ford 5 Window Coupe Hot Rod. I Love those whitewall tires.

2 1932 Ford 5 Window Sedan. Amazing this 32 Ford was not chopped down to a Hot Rod. Nice to see how the original 32 looked like.

3 1935 Willys Custom Hot Rod. A rare Willys Hot Rod beautifully done.

4 1935 Willys Custom Hot Rod. Beautiful sloped back with the spare tire.

5 1948 Ford Custom Pickup

6 1949 Chevy 2 door sedan. First new post war Chevrolet. This one is in showroom condition and clean all around.

7 1949 Hudson Super. A Rare Hudson not many around today but they were fast in it's time.

8 1949 Hudson Super. I cannot imagine how upset the owner was when he got hit in the back. It's already showing some rust so he better get it fixed soon. Other than that this Hudson is in great condition for a 49.

9 1951 Buick 4 door sedan. Looks like this car is undergoing a lot of body work.

10 1951 Buick sedan. Good to see the owner is taking care of the body.

11 1954 Cadillac and OB Cruise. Nice Caddy with a decent crowd of spectators who came out on a Saturday afternoon.

12 1954 Chevy Bel Air HT. This car is at all the car shows and I love seeing it.

13 1955 Chevy, an Ice Cream truck and Custom Sports Car.

14 1956 Lincoln. Beautiful 56 Lincoln who shows up a lot at the car shows.

15 1958 Corvette Convertible. Great 2 seater American sports car.

16 1959 Cadillac Convertible. Tallest fins at 4 feet high beats all other cars.

17 1961 Corvette Custom Hot Rod. This car is undergoing a lot of custom work. Can't wait to see when it's done.

Hey Mario, maybe I need medication. I've never been a big fan of station wagons, but that 63 Dart is nice, It looks period correct with that paint, almost like an Ed Roth theme. And the paint makes it looks in proper proportions to.

The 62 in pic 21 also looks good.

Oh how that ice cream truck brings back the memories of Mr. Softy ice cream truck that made a killing on our narrow one way street in the back side of town. Yes, we were poor but who knew as a kid?

My grandfather developed his own recipe for a custard ice cream that he used to sell the local small amusement parks. He sold the recipe and it is still being made and served at a Drive Inn Theatre back in PA.

I remember sitting on a stool as he dipped and dipped and I got splashed by the warm water when he would throw the scoop back in to have it warm and clean. He was my benchmark of a hard working man.

That 31 Ford 5 window, that is one I would park in my garage. Love the wheels and tires.

Well, another peaceful tour with my coffee cruising thru your pics. Yes, punn intended.

Cheers Mario..........

Hi Rob, great that you like the 63 Dodge Dart wagon with the wild paint job. Not too many station wagons show up so I look to photograph them when they do. This one is really nice in and out.

That's a unique story about your grandfather and his custard ice cream creation. And the ice cream lives on. What a wonderful tribute to your grandfather. Maybe you can search for that formula and sell it in steamy AZ.

We had Mr Softy by us growing up and it was always a nice treat. But I preferred the Good Humor truck with the vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate bar. It's still my favorite.

I chose the 31 Ford Hot Rod for my cover loving the wheels and simplicity of the Coupe. The blue color with white trim and tires stand out. The chrome engine and engine pipes are awesome.

See you at the next show, Mario.

Great coverage, Mario! I agree with Rob about the 63 Dart wagon, the paint job really makes it. I also liked the 56 Lincoln. And many others!

The 56 Lincoln was very long and the canted fins made it seem like it was moving when standing still. A real beauty in very fine condition. Thanks for your comments Brandon, much appreciated. Cheers!
