Penny the 53 Pontiac

Pretty isn't it

This is Penny she is a 52000 mile 1953 Pontiac and she is well cared for as you can see.

I am sure someone will tell me that the engine is the wrong color but it sure looks good this way.

I just love the way the dashes looked in these old cars.

The cars back then had so much style.

I just got these for the car .I really like them but they are hard to keep clean.

Paint doesn't look to bad either.

First time I was asked to use the car for someones wedding may28,2011

Same wedding as in the picture before . I just put the wire caps on the car 6 months ago.

Lookin good for 58 years old .

This couple was very happy with her dads choice of vehicle for his daughters wedding. The newly weds stated this is way classier than a Limo

Tindian....I don't think my engine is the correct color either...Your 53 is Great though! What kind of money do you get for renting it out? By the way, if you ever need a new insert for your hood ornament, I cast them as well....I do Architectural Design for a living, but I started casting the inserts after I bought my 53. You can see all the different ones I do here if you like..

What a beautiful Pontiac.......my uncle made me fall in love with these as a kid when he showed me how the Indian on the hood lit up. I used to sit at night on our milkbox and I would see the hood emblem coming down the street and I knew it was him. He even hot rodded his Poncho. Your car is totally a time stamp for that era. Like you said the dash was a work of art and the car was a designer's dream. I think that married couple made the right choice. I still have pics of me and my 1st wife :-( in my Olds 442 looking out the back window at our wedding. Beautiful car........WHY IS IT CALLED PENNY?? Can you make "CENTS" out of that for us? :-) Sorry but if I didn't tell the joke someone else would. Love the new wire wheels and yes, like teeth with the old metal braces, they are a bear to keep clean.

Cleaned the car one day and when I finished I said "pretty as a new Penny", the name stuck PENNY THE PONTIAC.

...Just Luv your Pontiac my friend....Truly a great look-a...If you check out my 49 Chevy you will notice that the molding on the side of my car, that I designed and painted myself, also has a pontiac molding (from a different year than yours) to help separate the two different colors of my Chevy.!!!...

~ Thanks for your reply my friend even tho I'm a little late in my response, lol but while I was commenting on other stuff I noticed that I did not reply back on March 23, 2015 ~ I'll take your word for the fact that that molding/trim is from a '51 Pontiac ~ At this stage of my life I can't remember the detail anymore HaHaHa ~
