This 1961 Ford P35 has been used since 2009 at northern Utah car show venues...playing the 'Best Sounds in Town' from a remake of Gene Autry's KMPC Mobile Studio, used (mostly) by Roger Carroll for remotes around L.A. This vehicle is a tribute to Roger and the others who made KMPC the professional radio station it was for news, sports and music. Thnx//jS

Playin' the Big Band sounds of the 40s for the 2011 Warbirds fly-in at KOGD...music in tune with the great B-17 and B-25 bombers of WWII and cars 'n trucks to boot! There's plenty to see and do at the Ogden Airport! And, with MOR of the Best Sounds in Town...and, the friendly folks at the Auger Inn, you're sure to have a great time in Ogden, Utah.. a pretty good best-kept secret. Aircraft tie-downs and car rental locations on the airport!

Capt Tom takes time out from his Airbus duties to join a classic B-25 warbird with his classic 1940 Chevy flatbed. Tom's one of the Utah CAF pilots of the unit's Beech 18 (C45) of the type once owned by KMPC owner, Gene Autry.

CLASSIC!! Showing it doesn't have to go fast, be low, and slow, and be blingy, but I think this should be loud, at least loud enough to play those oldies but goodies. What a great venue to carry the message of our good times to others. It's shape reminds me of the "MR FROSTY" ice cream truck that visited the neighborhood nightly with it's song drawing kids out from alleys and playgrounds and homes so we can all stand at the window and get our evening treat. That nickel, bought a lot of taste and fun. I'm sure this classic brings out the best in memories as well.
By the way I love the B-25, loved it in the movie "Forever young".

thnx... the whole idea is to offer a 'glimpse' back in time when your favorite AM radio station played the hits - thnx to Roger Carrol and his original Best Sounds in Town shows, evenings on KMPC 710 in LA
