Don Glover's Chevelles & Chevys

Won class at 1982 Summernationals. 11.00 sec @ 120MPH. Still own it. This photo was taken in 1985 at Maple Grove Raceway in PA. 327 c.i., 4 spd.

Raced this new '64 Chevelle in I/Stock at Connecticut Dragway

I'm an old motorhead. First race car was a 1940 Ford, E /GAS, in PA. Later raced a new 1964 Chevelle in I/STOCK at Connecticut Dragway (see pic above).

Then raced a 1957 Chev 210 wagon in JR. STOCK, in PA and NJ. Then built three NHRA Super Stock cars, Chevys. Last one in pic above. Sold car, bought it back, worked on it, and won class at 1982 Summernationals. 11.00 sec, 120 MPH approx, I own the car today.

Also, worked at Hurst Performance 1967-74. SPL Project, one of four engineers that created the Hurst Olds.

Don, you were very lucky to have been there when it really mattered in drag racing. Part of the golden age of drag racing. Thank you for sharing some of your amazing drag racing memories. Cheers.

Wow, 8600 rpm launch. The 327s I had were high winders but that is like incredible.

Amazing life with an amazing history.

Thanks for having a hand in the HURST Olds creations.
