The 1940’s started out as an extension of the 1930’s through 1941 then auto production ended in early 1942 due to WWII. The focus for manufacturing companies was to Military needs. It’s as if time stood still for the next four years as the war continued.

Post war in 1945 the car manufacturers had to retool back to Civilian needs from Military. The 1946 to 1948 cars were virtually the old pre-1941 cars with minor changes. It took three years from 1945 to design, retool and manufacture new cars for the 1948/1949 model years.

The newly designed cars of the late forties were a huge hit as sales overwhelmed production. We were back in full bloom working overtime and trying to get back to some sense of normality.

This Tribute is for the fast, sporty, flashy, muscle cars of the Forties. We redefined ourselves and our redesigned cars went along for the ride. Enjoy!
