The 1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe CABRIOLET and the 1941 Special Deluxe COUPE beautiful Top-Of-The-Line cars that helped make Chevrolet the number one car in sales in 1941 with over a million automobiles sold.

Here are two beautiful Museum quality 1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe models, a Convertible and a 5-window coupe, each loaded with many options and accessories.

They both have the trustworthy Chevy in-line 6 cylinder engine 216ci with 90hp, very quick for its day.

Both cars are fine examples of the Special Deluxe editions of the 1941 Chevrolet.

Enjoy, Mario!

This Post was the inspiration of our very own American Torque member George who has expressed his admiration for the 1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe model. This is for you George. Cheers! Mario

Thanks Mario, I can not thank you enough for this treat. The 1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe coupe has always been one of my favorite cars and certainly always my favorite 1940's car. I think it is better looking than all the other GM cars of that period. For me the more original accessories you can throw at it the better. Cheers.

Just when you think you've seen it all, then this SPINNER STEERING WHEEL APPEARS!! And I even figured out how it works.

Awesome thread Mario. 10 years before my time but I can appreciate what it must have taken to sell a million cars and to have one with 51 ACCESSORIES!!

Congrats on receiving the Mario 1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe Award George.

When do you get the real car??

My ALL TIME favorite car Mario is:

A FREE ONE. ;-)

Honestly Mario, I cannot choose ONE. I like so many as listed on your thread with my favorites cars.

It seems the cars I listed there each offered their own personality. A 302 high revving small block to a stump pulling 510 pounds of Torque in a 455.

From a 4 speed close ratio M22 Muncie with that pateneted gear whine to a bomb proof TH400.

From 2 seats in a Corvette to 4 seats in the other body cars.

Rear gears from a highway friendly 2.73 to a red light to red light 4:56.

To the rapp rapp rapp from a Chambered Exhaust to the exotic Ferrari sound from an OHC6.

Stripes, badges, cartoon characters, number call outs, cowl induction, A33, spoilers, red stripe tires, blue stripe tires, Tiger Paws, Polyglass, Radial GTs, Cragers, Hurst, Slap Shifter, hood tach, Super Duty, Trans Am, SS454, AMX, Mark Donahue, Shelby, GT500, F41 suspension, 727 Torqueflite, Super Bee, GTX, Superbird, Cuda, Hemi, Max Wedge, GSX, Stage One, GT 390, Boss, 429, 500 XL, Sprint, Yenko, Baldwin, Nickey, 442, W-30, L79, L88, and on and on and on.

I love ALL OF THAT. And I can't find ONE CAR that can give that all to me.

So, call me fickle, but I'm a lover of many rides.

Well OK Rob you love many cars, styles, colors, down to the smallest details. How about can you pick an era or a decade where most of your favorite cars exist? Not looking to satisfy ALL your desires but maybe the majority. Think about it.

Well Mario, this is a bit easier:

1940s= 1940 Ford Coupe.

I love that sloping back window and the front end. Dog dish or smoothie hub caps. Stock sleeper.

1950s: 1956 Chevy Nomad

I love the mid-year of the Tri-fives. Everyone needs a station wagon. To haul all the trophies home.

Now for the tough part, my genre:

1960s: It is a tie between

1967 Chevy Corvette Coupe 427/435 4 Speed

1969 Chevy Z/28 Camaro RS Frost Green & Black Stripes

Whew that was tough!!!! I almost passed out!!

1970s: 1970 Buick GSX I love it for it's rarity and uniqueness in Apollo White with a 4 speed and extra tires for burnouts.

1980s: 1987 Buick GNX

Considering the GNX was faster, and rarer, than anything else and the 6 cylinder turbo technology.

1990s: 1995 Corvette ZR1

Last year for the EPIC 32 Valve Overhead Cam Engine.

Put all these in my garage, and I'd stand at the door going...hmmmmm what to drive today? And no matter which one I chose, it would surely put a smile on my face even a Mortician couldn't remove.

I need to go rest now, that took a lot out of me ;-)

Hey that was great Rob! You absolutely picked a lot of Winners for each decade. Quite an impressive list you made.

Now all we need is a Genie Lamp and start rubbing! Cheers!

Thanks Mario. It's like when I go to pick out a puppy, I want to take THE WHOLE LITTER HOME. Let's just say I ended up in my own DOGHOUSE once for doing that. Don't ask, don't tell!
