1955 Chevy Nomad Station Wagon

I went to the Smith Haven Mall Lake Grove NY car show on Sunday October 11, 2026 and I enjoyed taking all the classic and muscle car pictures. A large crowd was there as usual and many great cars to see.

Smith Haven Mall Car Shows are one of the best Long Island car meets. Lots of fans come out young and old. This Fall Sunday was next level. Perfect blue skies, big white clouds, lots of muscle cars, and everything in between. Networking, great energy, good people, and endless builds.

There were several 1955 Chevys and other Chevys at this car show but I chose the 1955 Chevy 427 ci A/Gas Dragster as my Cover car for this Page. A record holder in a tough class A/Gas.

This car ran at Long Island's National Speedway 1/4 mile Race Track which opened in 1966 and unfortunately closed in 1980. They used to televise this race track live on ABC's Wide World of Sports.

7 1955 Chevy Bel Air 2 Door HT. My High School friend Ron B. who I still keep in touch with has this same exact car and color combo. I may do a Page on his car in the future.

9 1955 Chevy Nomad Station Wagon with TRI-Power. First year Nomad Wagon of the Tri Fives. About 8,500 were made. It featured a distinctive two-door wagon design.
