Wait a cottonpickin minute.......you can't just post 2 pics of a car like this and expect ME, a C2 owner, to be happy with that!! Come on......there has to be some text included at least with the engine pic. Now I don't want to have to report you to Santa so if you expect a Merry Christmas, I suggest more pics, and more text and who knows.......maybe Ol St. Nick will be good to you......:-)

That's a cool looking Chevy. I had seen one similar to it back in the day with the Caddy tail lights. Great story about your exploits. Reminded me of some similar things I did. I too had my first encounter with a '53 Vette in 1953. After the GM Motorama show at the Waldorf Astoria in 1953 closed they took the show on the road to major cities. I saw it when I was 16 when the show came to the Cow Palace in San Francisco and was immediately smitten with the Corvette and vowed to myself that one day I would have one. Well, I finally got my '54 in 1969 and finally finished the restoration a couple of months ago after a lot of starts and stops over the years. One thing I noticed was that I didn't fit into it as easily as I did 46 years ago.

...Thanks for that great story ~ Oh how we change over the years but at least we're still kicking ~ I'm glad you got your wish after all those years ~ It's like trying to get back into a military uniform from World war ll ~ My wife and I have been to California several times including San Fran when we visited the 'Cliff House' over by the Sea and on our way to 'Hearst Castle' too ~ That trip had an interesting story also as we had a rental car for the trip and on the way down to the Castle I decided to check the engine oil and found there was none ~ After that I always check any rental car I get before I start my trip and find this to be true on 50% of the times ~ Well enjoy your Vette...
