Pup's Car

Fairlane 500, 352ci. A/T

I had to trade my '55 T-Bird, because there wasn't enough room for our Pups to go on 'drives' with us.

Thanks Bill, I traded my '49 Mercury Coupe because my wife said it was 'too loud' for the '55 T-Bird, and it was too small, so I traded it for this '59 Fairland, with supposedly 29K Original miles, which couldn't possibly be true after looking at the car, but it does have a good new paint job, very good interior but it was obviously 'thrown together' by the painter to get it out of his shop, as I got it with rusted floor pans, 3 of 4 headlights working, no brake lights, loose steering, squawling alternator belt, etc. But, after I spent a ton of time and money, I've got it rolling dependably, like the T-Bird was. I believe this is the last old car I'll ever have as finding an Honest guy to trade with is like looking for 'hens teeth'. This Fairlane does have the big engine, the 352, and A/T, so it will get on down the road, and is now pretty comfortable to drive and will be better when I can get these bias tires off and radials on. Thanks again Bill. McCord
